The American Society of Furniture Designers invites you to explore the newest in international design presented during NYCxDesign 2014. The New York City chapter has created an itinerary below to give you an insider tour of the most innovative design experiments, showrooms and installations created this spring as well as some of NYC's most iconic and historic sites. The schedule of events is below. See you in New York!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
FRIDAY
Please join us for a cocktail reception, sponsored by ASFD and Conrad Companies LLC,
in a reserved section of the Ace Hotel bar where we will enjoy light snacks and drinks.
8:00pm Gourmet Dinner at Chef's table at The Breslin (next door to Ace Hotel)
On Friday evening ASFD has reserved the "chef's table" at The Breslin, where a prix fixe meal and wine selections will be served. The prix fixe menu includes an entree of balsamic roasted duck accompanied by roasted beet salad with bitter greens, balsamic vinaigrette & miticrema, grilled asparagus with giardiniera, broccoli rabe with marjoram & chili, duck fat fried potatoes and dessert of chocolate toffee tarts and crème fraîche whipped cream. The meal is served family style.
SATURDAY
Visit ICFF and other shows around town (Jacob Javits convention center- 11th ave at 38th street)
2pm Shuttle at WantedDesign at The Terminal Building to Industry City, Brooklyn
3-5pm Tour of the new design exhibition + cocktail reception at WorkOf booth
optional openings, etc in the evening
SUNDAY
10:30 am Breakfast at Americano Hotel (518 W 27th St)
We have a table reserved for breakfast at Hotel Americano at 10:30 am.
12:00 pm Walk the Highline, additional touring of design shows in small groups or individually
